A DIAMOND WHITE WEDDING

I am honored to be part of Scott Hayes and Tina Pendon's wedding held on November 6, 2011 at Nuestra Sra de Gracia and reception at EDSA Shangri-la Hotel.

For this couple's invitation, I was given a design to use as an inspiration. I found it too plain simple. So I decided to use an elegant white satin folder to insert their cards with an elegant silver brooch accent. I am happy with the result and happier with the couple's email message after receiving the invites (shipped to them in California through Fedex).

Tina's email:
-----Original Message-----

"Hi ada and Nona,

Omg! The invitations are sooooo beautiful!!!! We couldn't believe how gorgous it turned out. Thank you so much for everything. Everyone says that they've never seen an ivitation like that before. I'm so excited for the wedding now. Thank you again for everything!

Take care

Tina"

Below are photos of their invites and some behind-the-scene unofficial photos taken by my brother Jomar during their wedding. Best wishes Scott and Tina!

Dear Ada,

I am sorry about you and your family's ordeal during Typhoon Ondoy.
I am glad that you and your family are safe now.
We shared your sister Nona and your family's feelings when my husband's family were affected by the Typhoon in Iloilo last year. It took us 5 days to be able to communicate with them and knew how they have survived.

Praise God for amidst the storm, you and your family continue to give thanks to Him.
" So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it. - Hebrews 4:16.

God bless!

Thank you for your prayers. PSALM 91 saved us. Indeed, the Lord is our Protector and Defender.

Wed 9/30/2009 11:48 AM
To all our dear friends and valued clients,
As you heard it from the news, hundreds of families homes and lives were devastated by typhoon Ondoy last Sep 26. Ours were not spared. But God is good, He put me and my family and my neighbors to a safer ground before the flood rose to unimaginable height. Below is my older sister Nona's Thank You message to everyone who prayed with them when they were desperately seeking help to rescue us. It broke my heart to know that many people did not make it through and were not as lucky. Thank you to everyone who prayed for us. Let us all pray for the souls of those whose lives were taken and help rebuild the lives of the survivors who do not have anything anymore through prayers and other ways you can.
Please pray PSALM 91 everyday. It saved us from the sudden attack and hidden danger.
God bless everyone.
>>>>>> My sister's message
Hi All !Thank you for your prayers and good wishes for the safety of my sister Ada and her family during our search for them at the height of typhoon Ondoy. Yesterday morning, as the flood subsided, after 3 days we were able to get Ada’s family in Cainta. As the water quickly rose in a matter of minutes in their house, they braved the flood to get to their neighbor’s house. They wrapped little Alyssa, their 5 month old baby in a plastic garbage bag with only her frail face showing so she won’t get wet as her father raised her while crossing the raging neck-deep flood. Basty, their 1 yr old son on his shoulders. The neighbors waited for them at the gate as they know Ada’s family were still trapped in their house. God bless their neighbor’s good souls for accomodating my sister’s family and all the other neighbors who seek shelter in their house. There was only one 2-story house in the neighborhood so everyone nearby went to this house. There are many heartbreaking stories…all have one lesson to learn. That no amount of human wisdom, no matter how advanced human technology is, no one can escape the wrath of God. The Lord can take away everything in an instant if he wills it and no one will be saved…not the rich, not those in power, not those with connections, not the brave, not the tallest man in the world, not the greatest sportsman, not the champion swimmer…NO ONE. In the house where Ada and her family stayed, with around 60 of them inside she saw the reflections of the true state of our christianity. Some of them were praying. Some of them laughing. Some of them provoking God. Some of them seeking mercy. Some of them just didn’t care. If the rains didn’t stop, where will all of them be? May we all learn something from this and start cleansing our own souls, turn away from our evil ways and do good for others. There is only one we can turn to in times of great distress, only one can save us. Only Jesus can. May we all find shelter, peace, comfort, love and true happiness in Him. My sister and her family are now safe in our mom’s house in Quezon City. Their dog Kukay did not make it and was washed away by the raging waters. Please continue to pray for them as they start rebuilding their homes and their lives. Please pray for all the other victims especially those who remain trapped in their homes at this very moment (there are still many of them).
Thank you again for all of you who prayed with us.
May God bless us all.
Sincerely,Nona

Hi Everyone!
I apologize for the mass email. I would like to appeal for help and prayers for my sister Ada, her husband, their 1 yr old son and 5 mos old baby and their Yaya Lyn. We have not heard from them since yesterday. My last communication with my sister was at 1.30pm yesterday. It’s really been an agonizing 2 days as we miserably try to know where they are. There is also no electricity in their area and flood is now worsened by thick mud. No available communication as globe lines are down since yesterday. Their celphones must be empty of battery too. If anyone of you who knows anyone residing in Vista Verde Executive Village in Cainta, please let us know situation in the area. We know it is still difficult to get inside the village as most houses are still flooded roof-high and most of the residents there are still waiting for rescuers from their rooftops. Just in case anyone of you know some rescuers who are now in the area, here’s my sister’s address - No. 8 Phase 8, Zafra St., Vista Verde Executive Village, Cainta, Rizal – Erickson and Ada Paglinawan. Please help us pray for their safety and all who were affected by typhoon Ondoy.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Nona

TIFFANY BLUE WEDDING IN NEW YORK CITY

My sister Malou and I were honored to be invited to the wedding of one of our clients in New York. It was such a happy occasion and a very beautiful one (plus the fact that the couple Jewel and Jhun and their families and friends are extremely wonderful people. We had so much fun (one of the few times that we came as guests to a wedding reception. My sister and I dressed up the bride as she wore a Malou Castillejos creation. A very elegant ballgown fit for a princess-like bride). Here are some pictures from this wedding.

Marriage vows

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Wedding vows)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wedding_vows

In a Christian or Christian-influenced civil ceremony, after the vows have been spoken, the celebrant traditionally instructs the couple to kiss.
Marriage vows are promises a couple makes to each other during a
wedding ceremony.
Civil ceremonies often allow couple's to choose their own marriage vows, although many civil marriage vows are adapted from the traditional Catholic wedding vow "To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part."
Vows can also be written by the couple, or poetry, lyrics or vows from a mixture of religious traditions used. However couples marrying in a house of worship or within a religious tradition are often constrained to use the standard vows of that tradition's ceremony.

8/8/08: Don't Miss Out on the Next Big Date

August 8, 2008 or 8/8/08 Is Next Popular Wedding DayBy Nina Callaway, About.com

Oct 4 20078/8/08 has a nice ring to it, don't you think? After the frenzy created this year on 7-7-07, a popular wedding date considered lucky by many, wedding vendors and engaged couples are looking out for the next extra-popular date. August 8, 2008 falls on a Friday, so it likely won't be quite as popular as the 7/7/07, which was a Saturday. However, since 8 is an extremely lucky number in Chinese culture, watch for huge numbers of Chinese weddings on this day.

What is a Misalette???

A misalette is the booklet of your entire ceremony proceedings, may it be a christian wedding or a catholic wedding. Why this is important???

1. The priest must have a copy of your misalette so he can be guided throughout the entire wedding ceremony about the readings, vows, etc.....making it personalized will also give your soleminizing officer or your priest no reason to forget your names (names of the bride and groom)...

2. Your lector or commentator must have a copy of your misalette so he/she can lead the congregation on what to do next; sit down, stand up, kneel, etc...

3. Your readers must have it so she/he can practice the readings beforehand and be able to read it properly during the mass or the ceremony..

4. Your coordinator must have a copy so he/she can be guided properly on the entire proceedings and be able to guide those who are involved; must know when to help the bearers go up the altar for the wedding rings, prepare the veil, cord, candles, offerors, etc..

5. Your sponsors and your entourage must have copies of the misalette so they can follow and understand what is happening..

6. Your guests may have copies if you want them to be guided as well...

7 and most important the couple...it's your wedding! Without it, you wouldn't know what to do and what to say...if you have your own vows, this is where you can have it included so the rest of your guests can also understand it and feel it...

..so what is a misalette...it's an important element of your wedding..DO NOT FORGET IT!!!
